Cold Rock rolls into WA

Looking to ensure dominance of the gourmet ice-cream market before Ben & Jerry can get established Cold Rock has made the call to recruit atleast 25 new franchisees to operate stores within Western Australia. The expansion plan will take around 2 years and will focus around Perth with upto 15 stores and then a further 10 regional stores across WA.
While Cold Rock have expanded to operated close to 100 stores across Australia they have only managed to currently have secured 2 within the WA market. Based on the strong economic environment, the hot climate and strong population growth it is likely their WA push will succeed helped by the fact that Australia is the third highest consumer of ice-cream in the world.
Unlike a number of other food franchise operations the attractiveness of the Cold Rock franchise is that it does not require any previous food or ice-cream experience to make a franchise successful. They do look for franchisees with a desire to operate a successful business and are willing to have some hands on work and like to have a little fun. Unlike a number of food franchise operators Cold Rock encourage their franchisees to become multiple store owners.
The parent company of Cold Rock FFCo also owns Pretzel World, Nutshack and Mr Whippy franchise operations.
