The Belgium based fast food restaurant chain Quick Restaurants has shaken up the market by launching a themed Star Wars Burger. As part of the promotional campaign for Star Wars Episode 1 in 3D Quick Restaurants are offering 3 different burgers. What makes this promotion different from a standard promotions and to really capture fans attention is they are actually using food colouring in the burger buns. The Darth Vader (Dark Vador) burger is the most interesting offering a purely evil and black burger is likely going to be something that consumers will try just for the pure novelty factor without thinking about if they even like Star Wars or Burgers.
This is a wonderful food promotion to start 2012 and I hope it’s going to be emulated across the world with creative ways such as will McDonald’s or Hungry Jacks offer Sith Lord Red Frieds or Darth Vader Black Fries… will there be a green yoda milk shake?
