Hell Pizza is one of the best know chains of New Zealand pizza stores and has successfully expanded internationally with 10 franchisees operating in Queensland, Australia but after some supply issues only 3 stores remain.  It seems that Hell Pizza might have some more success in Europe with 2 stores in London and one in Ireland. It was Hell’s Pizza has built its brand, following and reputation on being edgy and according to past complaints about it’s advertising a little soulless at times…

Past marketing campaigns have including purchasing a man’s soul when online NZ trading website disallowed it, mocking Christianity and advertising it’s LUST pizza by distributing 170,000 branded condoms, which they advised had the dual benefit of promoting safe sex and reduction in sexually transmitted diseases among their core market. It’s favourite seven pizzas are named after the seven deadly sins and stores are fitted out with custom wallpaper, lava lights, wicked chandeliers and flaming seats.

If you think you have a bit of a wicked streak in you and can see the humour and potential marketing gold mine, Hell Pizza is probably the hardest franchise to emulate by any of the other pizza chains no matter how hard they try.
